Author Property
Specifies the name of the author of an application or component, usually the name of the company that developed it. The default value is the company name entered during Visual Studio setup, visible in the This product licensed to field of the About dialog box (available from the Help menu).
The Author property is usually the same as the Manufacturer property; if the Manufacturer is Microsoft Corporation, the Author should also be Microsoft Corporation.
Remarks
The Author property is displayed on the Summary page of the Properties dialog box when an installer file (.msi) is selected in Windows Explorer. Once the application is installed, the property is also displayed in the Contact field of the Support Info dialog box, accessible from the Add/Remove Programs dialog box.
