To create a new HTML file

  1. On the File menu, click New, and then click HTML File.
  2. Type a title for the file.
  3. Add text, tags, or other items to the file.

Notes

  • The title should be no longer than 60 characters so it can easily appear in a history list, hotlist file, or bookmark list, or be used in an index. It should also be descriptive. Some authors use the table of contents entry for the title.
  • To change the title of a file, click the Tags menu, and then click Title.
  • To add a hidden comment to a file, click the Tags menu, and then click Comment.
  • You can use any authoring tool to create HTML files as long as you create standard version 3.2 HTML source code.
