WSS 3.0 support for TFS v1

If you're a SharePoint user and haven't tried out the new version (WSS 3.0), you're missing out.  We switched our internal servers over at the start of the year and it's quite an improvement.  They've made it easier to get started with new sites, to create blogs, wikis and collaborate better with your team.  Anyway, by popular demand, the Team System Rangers in conjuction with the TFS team have made it possible to use TFS v1 with this new version of SharePoint.  We'll make it even easier with Orcas but for those of you that can't wait, take a look at Brian Keller's blog for more information. As he points out, this guidance is a "release candidate" of guidance which will eventually be posted to MSDN. We wanted to get this guidance out as soon as possible and address any user feedback on this version prior to posting the final version on MSDN.

The "release candidate" guidance has been out for over a month... can you estimate how long before this becomes official?

Thank you for your interest. We have been incorporating customer feedback in an updated version of the documentation which we hope to make available in the next month or so.

We are looking at upgrading our TFS to use WSS 3.0 but the release candidate still has me a little nervous. Any feedback on others that have taken the plunge? Will this be "officially" supported soon? Thanks...............Jim

Hi Jim, We are very close to making this "official".  We have made the final changes to the documentation and have pushed it into our publishing pipeline.  I expect it will exit from the other end as an official TechNote on MSDN within a few weeks.   Thanks for your question.   jeff
