Probleme mit dem Start von Anwendungen auf Windows 10 1703 Update

Hallo zusammen,

wie Ihr vielleicht selbst schon gemerkt oder in diversen Foren mitbekommen habt, kann es sein das eure Anwendungen die Ihr mit App-V virtualisiert habt nach einem Upgrade auf Windows 1703 - Bzw. auch nach einer neu Installation und Verteilung der Pakete hier nicht mehr funktionieren. Das betrifft nicht alle Pakete.

Das hat damit zu tun, dass wir mit Windows 10 1703 die Art und Weise wie wir die Registy behandeln verändert haben. Wir "Stagen" diese nun nicht mehr in die vorhandene reale Registry sondern nutzen hier Container um das zu realisieren.

Wir sind daran diese Fehler in der neuen Implementierung zu adressieren und hoffen in einem kommenden Rollup einen entsprechenden Fix anbieten zu können.

Als Workaround hat sich leider bisher noch keiner als wirklich valide und umfassend herausgestellt. Darum erwähne ich hier auch keinen (funktioniert eh nicht)

Update:

Problem ist mit dem Rollup für Februar 2018 behoben.

    Sebastian, working in education - we have a lot of apps that contain .docx files or .pdf or .pptx as 'resources' - the new functionality breaks opening these as 'office' is in on appv job/container - and the app containing the resource is in another container. Only workaround I can think of atm is to put all 300 apps in a connection group ;/

      Yes - we have notice this Scenario as well. This is a Limitation of the Process Jobs as you Can not call from one into another. Connection Group is one way of doing it. We are working on it and see if we find another solution.

        Sebastian - Guten Tag - Just wondering if you know if MS are going to make a statement on this soon? Trying to decide whether to continue waiting for a KB article/update or whether to stop deploying some apps via appv
