Keterangan

Jika dokumen memiliki beberapa elemen dengan ID yang cocok, metode ini mengembalikan elemen pencocokan pertama dalam dokumen.

Note

Implementasi DOM harus memiliki informasi yang menentukan atribut mana yang berjenis ID. Meskipun atribut jenis ID dapat didefinisikan dalam skema XSD atau DTD, versi produk ini hanya mendukung yang ditentukan dalam DTD. Atribut dengan nama "ID" bukan tipe ID kecuali didefinisikan dalam DTD. Implementasi di mana tidak diketahui apakah atribut berjenis ID diharapkan untuk mengembalikan null.
