Deployment considerations for Microsoft Sustainability Manager

  • After you acquire a license, you need to wait for the system to be ready for setup. Check Microsoft Cloud Solution Center for details.
  • Sometimes you can't grant privileged access to application registration in Microsoft Entra ID for the group or users who deploy and operate the Dynamics 365 solution and unified customer profile scenario. In that case, a global administrator must assist with the deployment.
  • Dynamics 365 solution deployments put a write lock on your environment to prevent parallel deployments.
  • Microsoft Cloud Solution Center has limited logs and telemetry available during the deployment in case anything fails. Be sure to reserve enough time to install the applications successfully. To view the deployment status of your solutions, go to your environment in the Microsoft Power Platform admin center. For more information, see Manage Dynamics 365 apps.
  • You can add sample data for demo and development purposes when deploying the solution from the Solution Center.
  • Unselect the deployment of sample data in Microsoft Cloud Solution Center when deploying test & production environment.
  • If you enable the Teams collaboration and chat feature from Microsoft Sustainability Manager or a custom app, it's enabled for all the supported apps.
  • Export only tables that have change tracking enabled.
  • Create the storage account and Synapse workspace in the same Microsoft Entra tenant as your Power Apps tenant.
  • Create the storage account and Synapse workspace in the same region as the Power Apps environment and the same resource group where you use the feature.
