Unmatched brackets in search string

An opening bracket must be matched by a closing bracket. This error has the following cause and solution:

• You opened a bracket pair in a search string, but did not close it with a matching closing bracket. Place a closing bracket in the appropriate place.

For additional information, select the item in question and press F1 (in Windows) or HELP (on the Macintosh).
