User Reports

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

You use the Reports Manager to run reports to analyze user data.

Note

If the Profiles resource is shared by multiple sites in the Data Warehouse, on certain reports individual users will appear to belong to each site that shares the Profile resource. As a result, the grand totals in the reports will be inflated because users will be counted one time for each site sharing the Profiles resource in which they are registered. The following reports are affected: Registered Users by Date Registered User Days to Register User Registration Rate

Distinct Users by Time

Use the Distinct Users by Time report to determine whether several users are visiting your site many times or if many users are visiting your site several times. This report displays the number of unique users that visit your site, and how many times your site was visited during a particular time period. The report correlates the number of distinct users with the number of visits made by each user. The distinct users are calculated for the selected time period.

User Days to Register

Use the User Days to Register report to track the average number of days that it takes anonymous users to register on your site.

This report provides a line chart the last six months (alternatively, the last month) that displays the number of days that it took the user to register and the average elapsed days to register.

This report uses the date_created and date_registered values from the UserObject Profile Schema. If a user registers the same day that he or she visited anonymously, the days to register for that user is zero. When you run the User Days to Register report, a value of zero may be an irrelevant value.

In a typical scenario, a user list is imported and an invitation e-mail is sent. In this scenario, the date_created value is the date that the site imported the user list. The date_registered value is the date that the user actually visits the site and registers. When you run the User Days to Register report, this lengthy time period may be an irrelevant value.
