How to Refresh the Site Cache

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

When you add, update, or delete information in any Business Management Application, you can refresh the site cache for the application so that the latest data is available.

In Marketing Manager, ads are updated on the production server on a scheduled basis (see your site administrator for scheduling), but discounts are not. You must refresh the site cache to update the production server with the latest discounts.

In Catalog Manager, you must refresh the site cache to update catalog, category, and product information on the production server.

The Catalog Manager, Marketing Manager, and Customer and Orders Manager use the same procedure for refreshing the site cache. The procedure is slightly different for the Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

To refresh the site cache

  1. Open the Business Management Application that contains the cache you want to refresh, for example, Catalog Manager, Marketing Manager, or Customer and Orders Manager.

  2. In the Tasks pane, click Refresh Site Cache.

Commerce Server refreshes the application's cache with the latest data.

To refresh the site cache for Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager

  1. Open Commerce Server Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

  2. On the toolbar, click Refresh.

Commerce Server refreshes the application's cache with the latest data.
