How to: Copy General Posting Setup Lines
In many cases, the account numbers in the General Posting Setup window will be the same, or approximately the same, on several lines. Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a built-in copy function that makes it possible to quickly fill in fields on a line with the account numbers from an already completed line.
Before you can copy, you must fill in the Gen. Bus. Posting Group and Gen. Prod. Posting Group fields on the line you want to copy to. You must also set up general business groups and general product groups and set up combinations of these groups.
To copy general posting setup lines
In the Search box, enter General Posting Setup, and then choose the related link.
Select the line that you want to copy to.
On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Copy.
In the Gen. Bus. Posting Group field, enter the group that appears on the line with the account numbers that you want to copy.
Indicate which types of accounts that you want to copy.
Choose the OK button.
