InkPicture.CursorDown Event

InkPicture.CursorDown Event

Occurs when the cursor tip contacts the digitizing tablet surface.

Definition

Visual Basic .NET Public Event CursorDown As InkCollectorCursorDownEventHandler
C# public event InkCollectorCursorDownEventHandler CursorDown;
Managed C++ public: __event InkCollectorCursorDownEventHandler CursorDown;

Remarks

The event handler receives an argument of type InkCollectorCursorDownEventArgs that contains data about this event.

When you create a InkCollectorCursorDownEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For performance reasons, the default event interest is off but is turned on automatically if you add an event handler.

Use this event carefully because it could have an adverse effect on ink performance if too much code is executed in the event handlers. To improve real-time ink performance, hide or show the mouse cursor in the MouseDown and MouseUp event handlers.

Examples

[C#]

This C# example demonstrates using several event handlers to display the state of the cursors, cursor buttons, and tablets. This simple application has a status bar with three panels (sbPanelCursor, sbPanelButton, and sbPanelTablet), where simple messages appear when events are received.
