How to: Stop a Clustered Instance of Notification Services

When an instance of Notification Services runs on a failover cluster, you must use Cluster Administrator to stop the instance of Notification Services.

To start a clustered instance of Notification Services

1. In Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, and then open Cluster Administrator.

2. In the left pane, expand Groups.

3. Select the group that contains the Generic Service for the instance of Notification Services.

4. In the right pane, right-click Generic Service and then click Take Offline.
