Gets a character array value from the record at the specified column position.

Parameters

  • buffer
    Type: array<System.Char[]
    A Uint8 array that specifies the buffer into which to read the character array.
  • length
    Type: System.Int32
    An Int32 value that specifies the number of characters to read.
  • bufferoffset
    Type: System.Int32
    An Int32 value that specifies the index from which to start the read operation.
  • fieldoffset
    Type: System.Int32
    An Int32 value that specifies the index position within the record from which to begin the read operation.

Return Value

Type: System.Int32
An int32 value that specifies the number of characters returned in the array.
