View Existing Users

You can display a list of users and groups that are directly associated with a project or with a team project collection.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Project Collection Valid Users group or have the View Project-Level Information permission set to Allow. For more information about permissions, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To view all project-level users

  1. In Team Explorer, click the team project that contains the group.

  2. On the Team menu, point to Team Project Settings, and then click Security.

    The Project Security dialog box opens. In the Users and Groups window, a list of both users and groups that are associated with the project appears.

  3. When you finish reviewing the users and groups for the project, click Close.

Note

To review the members of a project-level group, open the Team menu, point to Team Project Settings, click Group Membership, click the group whose membership you want to review, and then click Properties.

To view all collection-level users

  1. In Team Explorer, click the server that is running Team Foundation Server.

  2. On the Team menu, point to Team Project Collection Settings, and then click Security.

    The Global Security dialog box opens. In the Users and Groups window, a list of both users and groups that are associated with the collection appears.

  3. When you finish reviewing the users and groups for the collection, click Close.

Note

To review the members of a server-level group, open the Team menu, point to Team Project Collection Settings, click Group Membership, click the group for whom you want to review membership, and then click Properties.
