Microsoft Visual Studio Recovered Files

Use this dialog box to recover edits made to files that were not saved before the development environment exited. This dialog box appears when you restart the development environment after an unexpected shut down.

Recovered Files

  • Recover
    Select or clear depending on whether or not you intend to keep the recovered file.

  • Project
    The name of the project where the file originates.

  • File
    The name of the recovered file.

<filename> Summary

  • Saved
    Lists the time and date the file was last saved.

  • Recovered at:
    Displays the path to the recovered file.

  • Recovery action:
    Displays the path where the recovered file is to be saved.

  • Recover Selected Files
    Choose to use the recovered version of the files selected.

  • Do Not Recover
    Choose to remove the recovered versions of the files listed in Recovered files.
