Configuring the Power Management Settings of a Run-Time Image

You can change the default power management settings of your run-time image in Target Designer.

To configure the power management settings of a run-time image

  1. In Target Designer, expand the node of the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) component for your configuration. This is one of the following components:
    • ACPCI Multiprocessor PC
    • ACPCI Uniprocessor PC
    • Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC
    • Compaq SystemPro Multiprocessor or 100% Compatible
    • MPS Multiprocessor PC
    • MPS Uniprocessor PC
    • Standard PC
  2. Choose Settings. The System Settings appear in the Details Pane.
  3. Under Power Management Settings, choose Show. The Power Management Settings are displayed.
  4. To enable system hibernation, check Enable hibernation support. If this option is enabled, a hibernation file will be created to store the hibernation state of the system. This file is typically the same size as the installed RAM on the computer or device.
  5. In the Power management policy drop down list, select the type of power management for your run-time image.

After you change the power management settings, you can check dependencies and rebuild your run-time image.
