List<T>.IList.Insert Method

Inserts an item to the IList at the specified index.

Parameters

  • index
    Type: System.Int32
    The zero-based index at which item should be inserted.

IList.Insert(Int32, Object)

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

index is not a valid index in the IList.

ArgumentException

item is of a type that is not assignable to the IList.

Remarks

If index equals the number of items in the IList, then item is appended to the end.

This method is an O(n) operation, where n is Count.
