System.Web.UI.Adapters Namespace

Contains the base classes for control adapters and page adapters. You can use these adapters to override the life-cycle states of pages and controls. This is useful if you want to modify a control's markup or behavior for new markup standards or for specific browsers.

Classes

ControlAdapter

Customizes rendering for the derived control to which the adapter is attached, to modify the default markup or behavior for specific browsers, and is the base class from which all control adapters inherit.

PageAdapter

Adapts a Web page for a specific browser and provides the base class from which all page adapters inherit, directly or indirectly.

Remarks

The System.Web.UI.WebControls.Adapters.WebControlAdapter class inherits from the ControlAdapter class. The System.Web.UI.WebControls.Adapters.DataBoundControlAdapter and System.Web.UI.WebControls.Adapters.MenuAdapter classes inherit from the System.Web.UI.WebControls.Adapters.WebControlAdapter class.
