Nell'esempio seguente viene illustrato come utilizzare la Columns proprietà . Nell'esempio i modelli di pagina Dynamic Data sono stati copiati nella cartella \DynamicData\CustomPages\ProductDescriptions per fornire una visualizzazione personalizzata per la tabella ProductDescription del database AdventureWorksLT. Il markup del file Insert.aspx viene modificato per aggiungere un OnDataBound gestore eventi denominato DetailsView1_DataBound. Nel gestore eventi, il FindMetaTable metodo viene usato per trovare la meta tabella. La Columns proprietà viene utilizzata per visualizzare il numero di colonne nella tabella.
