L'interfaccia IAuthenticationModule definisce le proprietà e i metodi che i moduli di autenticazione personalizzati devono usare.
I moduli di autenticazione eseguono l'intero processo di autenticazione con un server, rispondendo a una richiesta di autenticazione in base alle esigenze. Questo processo può essere costituito da richieste a un server di autenticazione separato dal server di risorse, nonché qualsiasi altra attività necessaria per autenticare correttamente una richiesta per un URI.
I moduli di autenticazione personalizzati devono implementare l'interfaccia IAuthenticationModule e quindi registrare con il AuthenticationManager.Register metodo . I moduli di autenticazione vengono registrati anche all'inizializzazione del programma leggendo il file di configurazione.
