Installer version 2.35.154.23208 - Microsoft Store version 10.0.7324.0 updates

New Features

  • The premium action ‘Log message’ has been introduced under the Logging group of actions, allowing users to log their own custom text messages with a specified log level in the flow run logs.

  • A new setting is now available in the properties of each flow in the console, allowing users to disable the default behavior of adding a screenshot to the flow run action logs in the portal, in case of an error. This feature is only available if v2 schema is enabled.

  • The values of Text, Numeric, Boolean and Datetime variables can now be edited during debugging through the variable value window, when the flow is paused, so that users can perform tests and debug using their own values for these variable types.

  • The following Excel actions:

    • Read from Excel worksheet
    • Select cells in Excel worksheet
    • Activate cell in Excel worksheet
    • Write to Excel worksheet

...will now have the additional ability to reference Excel cells by name.

Enhancements & Improvements

  • Users that are admins on their machines can now by default use the verbose logging functionality through the troubleshooter, ignoring the requirement of the corresponding registry key.

  • The button ‘Export logs’ for the verbose logging functionality in the troubleshooter has been enhanced, so that it includes all the proper files without limitations, even if a flow designer happens to be open.

  • Certain diagnostic categories of the troubleshooter can now go through all the required checks, when those are independent from each other, rather than stopping at the first possible error.

  • Remediation steps have now been added in UI automation action errors, thrown in cases where the target UI element can‘t be found.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:

  • An issue with some error messages appearing twice in the troubleshooter’s screen has now been resolved.

  • An issue with the troubleshooter throwing an exception, after the user disconnects and reconnects to the Windows session, has now been resolved.

  • Some accessibility issues on the fields that store keyboard shortcuts in the console have now been resolved.

  • The maximize button in the home screen video now works as expected.

  • Marking an uninitialized variable as sensitive during debugging (e.g., when the flow is paused) now has the expected behavior.

  • Appending a text to the name of a UI element now properly reflects the new name in the selectors screen.

  • The selectors’ context option ‘Move up’ is now enabled only when there are multiple selectors available.

  • Child flows are now properly affected as well, when certain premium actions like ‘Create text with GPT’ or Work queue actions are blocked by the admin in parent flows.

  • The ‘Run .NET script’ action now properly allows the use of non-Latin characters in .NET parameter names.

  • The flow designer no longer remains unresponsive, when a user updates to a premium plan from within the designer window.

  • The ‘Name’ property of the action ‘Add work queue item’ is no longer mandatory.

  • An issue with an exception that was thrown, when trying to run flows that contained connector operations from the console, has now been resolved.

  • Web browsers can now be properly accessed with UI automation in Windows Server machines.

  • When a different DPI value is used on a second monitor, while using the ‘Extract data from web page’ action, the context menu after right clicking on an element now normally appears as expected.

  • The performance of the UI element picker in Windows 11 context menus has now been improved, and the respective clicks are now recorded without delay.

  • The tool to inspect UI elements now properly works on Notepad++ menu items.

  • Some intermittent errors that occurred while connecting with the Power Automate agent for virtual desktops have now been resolved.

  • An issue with the recorder’s popup window for dropdown list elements, which were not being clicked properly, has now been resolved.

  • The property ‘.IsAlive’ of a web browser instance variable is now updated properly, after using the ‘Close web browser’ action.
