Business value
When you create agents that use Teams chat data, your makers can instantly deploy business-relevant agents. Agent users get more accurate answers about specific interactions that happen in Teams chats. This approach keeps institutional knowledge and information available.
Feature details
Microsoft Teams is a comprehensive collaboration platform within the Microsoft 365 suite. It enhances workplace communication and productivity. The data in Teams, such as chat history, meeting recordings and transcripts, shared files, and channel communications, empowers an organization's effectiveness.
With this update, you can add Teams knowledge sources as a URL endpoint or through a data source selector. This update supports messages that you share or send in channels, meetings, and group chats.
When the agent user asks a question, the agent responds with information it gathers from message threads in Teams.
The availability of chats and information depends on the maker's and end user's access to the chats, channels, or meetings that you specify as the source.
Makers can't connect their agents to Teams chats if they don't have the meeting invite or aren't a member of the team or channel. Agent users receive responses only from chats they can access. If permissions don't match, the maker or agent user gets notified that they can't access the data source. The notification provides options to resolve the problem.
