When you interact with SQL Server by using the user interfaces, the language you use to input and display information is determined by the regional and language settings of the computer on which you are working. SQL Server 2005 supplements these settings in the following ways:
- Session Language lets you change the language of error messages and preferences for how date, time, and currency data are used and displayed. There are 33 different session languages available.
- SQL Server 2005 supports inputting, storing, changing, and displaying complex scripts throughout the SQL Server Database Engine and tools. However, the files required to support complex scripts have to be installed on your computer through the regional and language settings. For more information, see Complex Script Support.
