LENGTH (Report Builder)

Returns the number of characters in a string.

Syntax

LENGTH(string)

string

Specifies the string used to determine the length.

Example

Formula	Result
LENGTH(Description)	Returns a numeric value for each instance of the Description field string indicating the number of characters in the string.
