PlotType Element (RDL)

Indicates whether the series is plotted as a line on a column chart.

Syntax

<ChartSeries>
       ...
        <PlotType>...</PlotType>
    ...
</ChartSeries>

Element Characteristics

Default value	Auto
Cardinality	0-1: Optional element that can occur once or not at all.

Remarks

The PlotType element must contain one of the following strings:

• Auto
• Line

If the value of PlotType is Auto, the series is plotted based on the primary chart type, for example, the plot type for a column chart is columns.
