Updates the password for the local side of a trust relationship.

public void UpdateLocalSideOfTrustRelationship (string targetForestName, string newTrustPassword);

Parameters

targetForestName
String

The name of the Forest object for which the local trust password is to be changed.

newTrustPassword
String

The new password for the trust relationship.

Exceptions

There is no trust relationship with the forest that is specified by targetForestName.

A call to the underlying directory service resulted in an error.

The target server is either busy or unavailable.

targetForestName or newTrustPassword is an empty string.

targetForestName or newTrustPassword is null.

The object has been disposed.

The specified account does not have permission to perform this operation.

Updates the password and trust direction for the local side of a trust relationship.

public void UpdateLocalSideOfTrustRelationship (string targetForestName, System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.TrustDirection newTrustDirection, string newTrustPassword);

Parameters

targetForestName
String

The name of the Forest object for which the local trust direction and password must be changed.

newTrustDirection
TrustDirection

A TrustDirection value for the new trust direction for the trust relationship.

newTrustPassword
String

The new password for the trust relationship.

Exceptions

There is no trust relationship with the Forest object that is specified by targetForestName.

A call to the underlying directory service resulted in an error.

targetForestName or newTrustPassword is an empty string.

targetForestName or newTrustPassword is null.

The newTrustDirection parameter is not a valid TrustDirection value.
