Apologies if this is not in the correct section on the forums. Please do say if i need to move it elsewhere:) thank you so much in advance for considering my case!

I read about possible fixes and tried so many things, many of which the computer does not allow as the BSOD appears sometimes very quickly. Yes its incredibly frustrating. Im already thinking about just throwing it in the garbage and buying a new pc, but im writing on this community for the first time to see if others have some suggestions! :) (Other than the things ive already tried ofcourse).

Some more info about the BSOD: the source codes are:

  • system service exception
  • registry error
  • memory management

the system service exception source code seems to appear most often.

Weird thing is also, when it restarts it always losses anything i removed or installed previously. Any app, program, driver or file that was modified by me (in attempt to fix it) seem to be reverted upon restarting. upon restart the pc and all of its features/settings goes back to its previous state. Anything that you remove, will appear again when it crashes from restart or from manual restart.

Furthermore, the WinRe environment seems to be enabled, but it simply will not enter the WinRe. Not from any method. Not from advanced startup, f9 or f12 hold, not from power off 3-5x when manufacturer is displayed, and not from shift-power combination. Also tried to safe boot with settings, minimal> hide microsoft programs and then disable all startapps.

Other information of what ive tried:

cmd scans: often cannot finish without BSOD

  • driver updates or rollback on gpu drivers. installing a new nvidia driver from website.
  • sfc /scannow: will come up with corrupt files and them being repaired. but still no fix
  • DISM scans, checkhealth, scanhealth, restore health. BSOD will appear before scans can be finished.
  • disc checker via command chkdsk C: /f or /r: cannot lock current drive is a message i get. If i want this to be checked upon restart (by pressing Y), then it simply does not do it upon restarting.
  • Disc clean up for both C and D drives.
  • memory diagnostic tool. the pc restarts without checking memory. also does nothing.
  • virus: quick scan finishes, does not find threats. Full scan cannot finish before BSOD.
  • malwarebytes + windows malicious tool : no threats detected.
  • CCleaner: registry cleaner until no issues are found
  • Windows update: comes with error and it cannot download. (download error 0x800b0003). tried refreshing win.updater with multiple cmd functions that i found online). Also tried the troubleshooter here.
  • Reset this pc: either wont finish setting up, or during setup goes immediately to 100% and restarts without any changes.
  • cleaning temp filders and folders.
  • Tried fortect app, but this will not open at all after installation.
  • uninstall recent apps/programs. i did not install anything recently, or on the day the BSOD started. but i tried to make sure. upon restarting however, those apps return somehow.
  • DDU, display driver unistaller, used the clean and restart option.
  • Remove pheripherals - change keyboard/mouse, change monitor.
  • Change power source: simply using electricity socket in diff. room.
  • Restore points, cannot complete reverting to 1-day prior to BSOD point.
  • Uninstall previous windows updates.
  • component wise, took apart the pc and all its hardware. checked if things were correctly plugged in.
  • un-dusted the insides and sockets.
  • reseated the RAM multiple times.
  • reseated GPU and CPU.

None of the above has resolved the blue screen of death. I've been trying for 3 days now.

If yall have any suggestions i welcome them! I am really lost about this.

Im thinking either hardware that has broken or a undetectable virus/malware.

Thank you for your help in the future:) And if you need more info let me know

Ive gone through all the steps given in your link.

The driver verifier was running, as the cmd prompt showed the list.

I rebooted after blue screen, and again the minidump folder is empty and there is no memory.dmp file.

Also, as stated in my OP, i am unable to enter the recovery environment. I had also tried hard shutting down of windows before it loads. It simply wont go into a recovery mode.

Furthermore, any changes i make are simply undone with a blue screen or reboot. it reverts back to the settings it was on

    Hi,

I typically approach such issues as follows. First, I remove everything unnecessary so that only the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and power supply remain. Then, I test the configuration. Next, I try using a different RAM module or test one module at a time. If the problem persists, I proceed to test with a different power supply. If neither the power supply nor the RAM is causing the issue, I consider replacing the motherboard, as it is highly unlikely that the Intel CPU is faulty. Of course, I do check that the pins under the CPU are in perfect condition by holding it under a lamp and tilting the motherboard in all directions. Reflections quickly reveal any issues with the pins.

    Greetings

To try to force Windows 11 show any faulting drivers, the best option would be to turn on Driver Verifier, let your PC crash 3 times, then you must turn off Driver Verifier, and finally, upload any newly created minidump files

Before you run Driver Verifier, please create a new System Restore Point

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Note, if you have any difficulty getting into Windows with Driver Verifier enabled:

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Settings and click Restart

Upon restart, press 4 to enter Safe Mode

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these two commands, then restart your PC.

    verifier /reset

    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The Minidump folder is empty. I also checked it again after a bsod crash - it remains empty.

Edit: after changing from small to kernel memory dumb, and another BSOD crash later, the minidump folder remains empty.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
