Is AspToday.com worth the cost?

I remember when AspToday.com content was free. Here are the current prices for an AspToday.com subscription (found on https://www.asptoday.com/subscribe.asp):

All AspToday content (ASP.NET and Classic ASP)
12 months - $99 US
6 months - $60 US
3 months - $40 US
1 month - $15 US

Classic ASP conent
12 months - $49 US
3 months - $20 US

All AspToday and C# Today conent
12 months - $150 US
3 months - $50 US

I believe that the content at AspToday is worth the cost (detailed above) for the following reasons:

  1. I am guaranteed a new article every day (5 days a week)
  2. I know the article will be edited
  3. Most articles are pertinent to my daily work
  4. The site is now easy to use (notice recent overhauls)
  5. Wrox is interested in what I want to read (notice poll on site and willingness to dabble with "different" content types)

So, you know how I feel. What do you think? Is the AspToday content better than the free content at AspAlliance.com, AspFree.com, TripleAsp.NET, 4guysfromrolla.com, etc.? Let others know if you have tried AspToday and whether or not you think its worth the price by leaving a comment (link below)?

    Is ASPToday worth it?

I am not sure. I have not been very happy with the level of content over the last couple of months, but they are still better than most. (ASPNetPro is has been very bad the laast couple of months).

However, except for the articles the last couple of weeks, I have been very happy with my C# Today subscription. I really enjoy the case studies and have found quite a few of them very helpful. For about the last two weeks C# Today has been running articles instead of subscriptions. If they want to keep my business, I hope they switch back soon.

I am a little biased since I have been writing articles for them recently, but I truly think that it is worth it. The thing that I like the most about ASP Today articles is that when you find one on the topic you are researching you know that it is going to be a complete and well written article on the subject.

There are two many times that I have done a google search on a subject and find tons of short quick articles that don't really go into depth I am looking for. ASP Today provides a more through and complete article on the subject.

    Hi Alex

Thanks for advice, well I know the site ;-)

But talking about resources, I would like to see something I can have in a small database, accessible from my PocketPc or from one of my 5 others computers (I'm not joking;-)), with of course automatic synchronisation.

Well maybe I'm just dreaming, but someday I will find the time to do it !
