I got a new SmartPhone

I got myself an Audiovox SMT5600 smartphone today. This thing is amazing.

It syncs to my outlook server for mail and calendar. It has IE on it. I can play movies and music on it. It came with all the cables to sync up to my computer like a PDA. And it is very snappy to use. Screen is a good resolution too.

And you can use it like a phone without any hassles.

Where will these things be in 5 years? The fact that I could compress 10 DVDs onto a card and play them on my phone is amazing to me - I did not think that things would get that good that fast. Will these things all converge more and more? I was going to get a little music player, but now I see little point.

    I could never understand why anyone would ever want to watch a DVD (or any video) on a cell phone. Somebody showed me a movie trailer on their SmartPhone the other day. Completely useless. Seriously, there are better things to do on the train ride to work.
