An Evening of Bujold and Trivia
Last night at the University Bookstore in Seattle, Lois McMaster Bujold was in town talking not about her latest book, but about other random questions, like the cover art on her books and whether she'd write another book in the Barrayar series. She was much lower energy than I expected, but had a couple of funny moments like a comment about the butter bugs and whether they represent the female or male (I'll spare you the details).
After that, we were hungry so we went to Kai's Bistro where, it turned out, they were having trivia night. My wife, being a trivia master, decided that we'd stay and we wound up winning, though we only found out as we were walking through the parking lot and someone from inside the restaurant fetched us.
Anyway, a wonderful evening.
