Books on Project Management
I have been asked to suggest books on Project Management. As I pulled together the list, I thought should publish it here also because someone else may find it useful.
Good books to start with are:
- Absolute Beginner's Guide to Project Management by Greg Horine,
- Applied Software Project Management by Andrew Stellman and Jennifer Greene.
- Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling by Harold Kerzner.
And after some time of practicing project management, you may decide to become a certified Project Management Professional. I found that going through certification significantly helped me to study different aspects of PMing.
When you decide to go for PMP certificate, check out this post on my other blog. It has a list of books I recommend reading to pass the exam on the first time.
