Meldingen over garbagecollection

Er zijn situaties waarin een volledige garbagecollection (een verzameling van de tweede generatie) door de algemene taalruntime de prestaties nadelig kan beïnvloeden. Dit kan een probleem zijn met name servers die grote hoeveelheden aanvragen verwerken; in dit geval kan een lange garbagecollection een time-out voor aanvragen veroorzaken. Om te voorkomen dat een volledige verzameling optreedt tijdens een kritieke periode, kunt u een melding ontvangen dat een volledige garbagecollection nadert en vervolgens actie onderneemt om de werkbelasting om te leiden naar een ander serverexemplaren. U kunt ook zelf een verzameling aanbrengen, mits het huidige serverexemplaren geen aanvragen hoeven te verwerken.

De RegisterForFullGCNotification methode registreert dat er een melding wordt gegenereerd wanneer de runtime aangeeft dat een volledige garbagecollection nadert. Er zijn twee delen van deze melding: wanneer de volledige garbagecollection nadert en wanneer de volledige garbagecollection is voltooid.

Waarschuwing

Wanneer het <gcConcurrent-configuratie-element> is ingeschakeld, WaitForFullGCComplete wordt mogelijk geretourneerd NotApplicable GCNotificationStatus als de volledige GC is uitgevoerd als achtergrond-GC.

Gebruik de WaitForFullGCApproach en WaitForFullGCComplete methoden om te bepalen wanneer een melding is gegenereerd. Normaal gesproken gebruikt u deze methoden in een while lus om voortdurend een GCNotificationStatus opsomming te verkrijgen die de status van de melding weergeeft. Als deze waarde is Succeeded, kunt u het volgende doen:

  • Als reactie op een melding die is verkregen met de WaitForFullGCApproach methode, kunt u de workload omleiden en mogelijk zelf een verzameling genereren.

  • Als reactie op een melding die is verkregen met de WaitForFullGCComplete methode, kunt u het huidige serverexemplaren beschikbaar maken om aanvragen opnieuw te verwerken. U kunt ook informatie verzamelen. U kunt bijvoorbeeld de CollectionCount methode gebruiken om het aantal verzamelingen vast te leggen.

De WaitForFullGCApproach en de WaitForFullGCComplete methoden zijn ontworpen om samen te werken. Het gebruik van een zonder de andere kan onbepaalde resultaten opleveren.

Volledige garbagecollection

De runtime veroorzaakt een volledige garbagecollection wanneer een van de volgende scenario's waar is:

  • Er is voldoende geheugen gepromoveerd naar generatie 2 om de volgende generatie 2-verzameling te veroorzaken.

  • Er is voldoende geheugen gepromoveerd naar de grote object-heap om de volgende generatie 2 verzameling te veroorzaken.

  • Een verzameling van generatie 1 wordt geëscaleerd naar een verzameling van generatie 2 vanwege andere factoren.

De drempelwaarden die u in de RegisterForFullGCNotification methode opgeeft, zijn van toepassing op de eerste twee scenario's. In het eerste scenario ontvangt u echter niet altijd de melding op het moment die evenredig is met de drempelwaarden die u opgeeft om twee redenen:

  • De runtime controleert niet elke kleine objecttoewijzing (om prestatieredenen).

  • Alleen verzamelingen van de 1e generatie bevorderen het geheugen in generatie 2.

Het derde scenario draagt ook bij aan de onzekerheid wanneer u de melding ontvangt. Hoewel dit geen garantie is, is het een nuttige manier om de gevolgen van een onopportune volledige garbagecollection te beperken door de aanvragen gedurende deze tijd om te leiden of de verzameling zelf te veroorzaken wanneer deze beter kan worden ondergebracht.

Parameters voor drempelwaarde voor meldingen

De RegisterForFullGCNotification methode heeft twee parameters voor het opgeven van de drempelwaarden van de objecten van de tweede generatie en de grote object-heap. Wanneer aan deze waarden wordt voldaan, moet er een melding over garbagecollection worden gegenereerd. In de volgende tabel worden deze parameters beschreven.

Parameter Description
maxGenerationThreshold Een getal tussen 1 en 99 dat aangeeft wanneer de melding moet worden gegenereerd op basis van de objecten die in generatie 2 worden gepromoveerd.

Als u een waarde opgeeft die te hoog is, is er een hoge kans dat u een melding ontvangt, maar het kan te lang zijn om te wachten voordat de runtime een verzameling veroorzaakt. Als u zelf een verzameling aanzet, kunt u meer objecten vrijmaken dan zou worden vrijgemaakt als de runtime de verzameling veroorzaakt.

Als u een waarde opgeeft die te laag is, kan de runtime ertoe leiden dat de verzameling voordat u voldoende tijd hebt gehad om een melding te ontvangen.

In het volgende voorbeeld is er een groep servers die binnenkomende webaanvragen verwerkt. Om de werkbelasting van verwerkingsaanvragen te simuleren, worden bytematrices toegevoegd aan een List<T> verzameling. Elke server registreert zich voor een garbagecollectionmelding en start vervolgens een thread op de WaitForFullGCProc gebruikersmethode om continu de GCNotificationStatus opsomming te bewaken die wordt geretourneerd door de WaitForFullGCApproach en de WaitForFullGCComplete methoden.

De WaitForFullGCApproach methoden en de WaitForFullGCComplete methoden roepen hun respectieve gebruikersmethoden voor gebeurtenisafhandeling aan wanneer een melding wordt gegenereerd:

  • OnFullGCApproachNotify

    Met deze methode wordt de RedirectRequests gebruikersmethode aangeroepen, waarmee de aanvraagwachtserver wordt geïnstrueerd om het verzenden van aanvragen naar de server op te schorten. Dit wordt gesimuleerd door de variabele bAllocate op klasseniveau in te stellen zodat false er geen objecten meer worden toegewezen.

    Vervolgens wordt de FinishExistingRequests gebruikersmethode aangeroepen om de verwerking van de wachtende serveraanvragen te voltooien. Dit wordt gesimuleerd door de List<T> verzameling te wissen.

    Ten slotte wordt een garbagecollection geïnduceerd omdat de werkbelasting licht is.

  • OnFullGCCompleteNotify

    Met deze methode wordt de gebruikersmethode AcceptRequests aangeroepen om het accepteren van aanvragen te hervatten, omdat de server niet langer vatbaar is voor een volledige garbagecollection.
