Manage addresses (form)

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Customers > All customers. Open the record that you want to work with, and then on the Addresses FastTab, click Add address, Edit, or More options > Advanced.

Use this form to create, update, or delete an address record; to set a primary address for a party record; and to view current, historical, and future address records for a selected party.

Filter
In the View filter, select whether to view active, past, or future address records for the selected party.

Fields
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Name or description |
The name or description of the address record. The text in this field is used as the default delivery name on business documents such as sales orders. |
Address |
View the formatted information for the selected address. This is the address that will appear on a printed document. The original address record may contain information that is not included in this view, depending on the specific country/region format. |
Location ID |
The location identifier that is assigned to the selected address record. |
Purpose |
Select the address purpose. For example, select Delivery if this address is used for deliveries to the party that is associated with the address. |
Primary |
View whether the address is primary. A primary address is the principal postal address for the selected party. A primary address can also be the default address for the party. |
Private |
View whether the address is private. If the address is marked as private, you must be assigned to the appropriate role to view the address. |
Name or description |
View or enter the name or description of the address record. |
Type |
View or select the contact information type. |
Contact number/address |
View or enter the contact telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, or URL. |
Extension |
View or enter the telephone extension. |
Sales tax |
Select the sales tax group that applies to this address. |
Time zone |
View or select the time zone in which the selected address is located. |
Latitude |
View or enter the latitude value for the selected address. |
Longitude |
View or enter the longitude value for the selected address. |
Effective: |
View or enter the date when the selected address will become effective. |
Expiration: |
View or enter the date when the selected address record will expire. Enter Never in this field if the address record has no expiration date. |
