Working with Work Items in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
Visual Studio Team System provides integration features that allow you to manage work items in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. Use Microsoft Excel to track and share specific information about your team project. For example, you can review high priority bugs, track exit criteria for an iteration, and monitor status for a specific feature area. Use Microsoft Project to break down and assign tasks and track progress.
In Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project, you view and change work items in a work item list or project file. All changes are stored in the spreadsheet or project file until you publish them to the work item database. Also, you can refresh the work item list or project file so that it matches changes made in the work item database.
