Annotations (Master Data Services)
Annotations in Master Data Services are comments that you enter to provide details about members or transactions.
There are two types of annotations:
Member annotations. You can annotate a member when you view an entity in the grid in the Explorer functional area. When you do this, the annotation is saved in the list of transactions. You can filter transactions to view annotations by member.
Transaction annotations. You can annotate a transaction to provide information about why an action was taken. You cannot filter by annotations added to transactions. Instead, you must select the transaction to view the related annotation.
