Property Value

Type: Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Agent.CompletionAction
A CompletionAction value that specifies whether to net-send a notification to an operator.

Remarks

If directed, Microsoft SQL Server Agent can net-send a notification when execution succeeds or fails. Net-send notifications can also be sent regardless of success or failure of the job. By default, net-send notifications are not sent when execution finishes.

Examples

The following code example creates a job and specifies that a notification is always net-sent when the job has finished execution.

C#

Server srv = new Server("(local)");
Job jb = new Job(srv.JobServer, "Test Job");
jb.Create();
jb.NetSendLevel = CompletionAction.Always

PowerShell

$srv = new-object Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Server("(local)")
$jb = new-object Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Agent.Job($srv.JobServer, "Test Job")
$jb.Create()
$jb.NetSendlevel = [Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Agent.CompletionAction]::Always
