AlertType Enumeration

The AlertType enumeration contains values that are used to specify the type of event or performance condition that causes alerts to be raised.

Members

Member name Description
SqlServerEvent Specifies an event such as an error or a message that is generated by the instance of SQL Server.
SqlServerPerformanceCondition Specifies a condition applied to a specified SQL Server performance counter. For example, the number of connections is greater than 10.
NonSqlServerEvent Specifies a system event.
WmiEvent Specifies an event that is raised by the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider interface. This option is available in SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008.
