ReleaseSessionHandle Method in Class SMS_SiteControlFile

The ReleaseSessionHandle Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) class method, in Configuration Manager 2007, releases the memory allocated by the GetSessionHandle Method in Class SMS_SiteControlFile method.

The following syntax is simplified from Managed Object Format (MOF) code and is intended to show the definition of the method.

SInt32 ReleaseSessionHandle(
     String SessionHandle
);

Parameters

  • SessionHandle
    Data type: String

    Qualifiers: [in]

    Handle to the in-memory copy of the site control file.

Return Values

An SInt32 data type that is 0 to indicate success or non-zero to indicate failure.

Remarks

The application calls this method when finished making changes to the copy of the site control file. It should call CommitSCF Method in Class SMS_SiteControlFile before calling this method or the changes will be lost.
