Choose/Change Data Source Dialog Box
The Choose Data Source dialog box allows you to select the data source and provider you want to use for this connection. The Choose Data Source dialog box appears the first time you add a connection or database reference. The Change Data Source dialog box appears when you click the Change button on the Add Connection, Modify Connection, or New Database Reference dialog boxes.
Note
The dialog boxes and menu commands you see might differ from those described in Help depending on your active settings or edition. To change your settings, choose Import and Export Settings on the Tools menu. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.
Data source
Lists the available data sources for the connection.Data provider
Lists the available data providers available for the selected data source.Always use this selection
Checked, the selections for data source and data provider will be the default for future connections.
