Een tuplefunctie haalt een tuple op uit een verzameling of haalt een tuple op door de stringrepresentatie van een tuple op te lossen.
Tuplefuncties, zoals lidfuncties en verzamelingsfuncties, zijn essentieel om de multidimensionale structuren in Analysis Services te onderhandelen.
Er zijn drie tuplefuncties in MDX: Current (MDX), Item(Tuple) (MDX) en StrToTuple (MDX). De volgende voorbeeldquery laat zien hoe je elk van deze kunt gebruiken:
