Use barcode data sources to generate bar code images

Completed

Barcode data sources are supported in electronic reporting (ER). You can create a picture that resembles a bar code for any text. You can use data sources of the Barcode type to produce bar code pictures when configuring an ER format. The photographs can then be added to company documents such as orders, invoices, packing slips, and receipts that have been prepared. You can also use them on product and shelf labels, as well as packing and shipping labels.

Check number validation

When you have generated a barcode, you can use Finance to validate check numbers. By validating check numbers, you can eliminate the risk of errors in processing checks preventing delays and additional fees.

There are two options to perform check number validation:

  • Interval validation - Interval validation can be set up in the cash and bank management parameters by setting up a default check number interval. If your check number falls outside of your defined interval, you will be prompted with a warning message that notifies you of the issue.

  • Character validation - Character validation triggers a warning message when a character appears within the check number.
