ACPI-knopapparaat

Het algemene knopapparaat is een standaardapparaat voor het rapporteren van knopgebeurtenissen via hardwareonderbrekingen en het toewijzen van deze interrupts aan specifieke toepassingen die zijn gedefinieerd in de Human Interface Device (HID)-specificatie.

Om de functionaliteit van een knop aan het besturingssysteem uit te drukken, zijn twee stukjes informatie vereist:

  • Gebruik van het HID-besturingselement
  • Gebruik van de HID-collectie waartoe het bedieningselement behoort

Een gebruik is een combinatie van een gebruikspagina en gebruiks-id. De knop Volume omhoog wordt bijvoorbeeld aangeduid als de knop Volume omhoog (gebruikspagina 0x0C, gebruiks-id 0xE9) in de verzameling consumentenbeheer (gebruikspagina 0x0C, gebruiks-id 0x01).

De ACPI-apparaat-id van een algemeen knopapparaat wordt ACPI0011. Windows laadt het door Microsoft geleverde in-box stuurprogramma, Hidinterrupt.sys voor dat apparaat.
