Hello
I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.
It seems like you're trying to create dependent filters in your pivot table, where the choices available in one filter are based on the selection from another filter. For example, you have a list of Countries, States, and Cities. You select a country and a state, and you want the city filter to only display the cities that belong to that state and country.
Here's how you can create dependent filters in a pivot table using slicers:
- Remove the filters from the pivot table and insert two slicers for Country and State.
- Connect the slicers to both pivot tables using report connections.
- Right-click on the slicers and select slicer settings to hide items with no data.
- Select a country and a state from the slicers to filter the data in both pivot tables.
This should allow you to see only the cities that belong to the selected country and state.
Remember to refresh your pivot table after making changes to see the updated values.
I hope this helps
