Administrative layers

As a best practice, your organization should focus on three administrative layers when it implements Dynamics 365 Guides in a regulated industry:

• HoloLens devices
• Microsoft Power Platform (such as environments and Power Apps)
• Software

For Guides to run seamlessly, these layers must work both independently and with each other. Otherwise, there is a risk of malfunction, which is critical from product and compliance perspectives.

We recommend that you do a risk assessment to identify critical updates to devices, environments, and software. Based on the risk assessment, your organization should define whether and where specific controls are needed for devices, Microsoft Power Platform components, and software.
