Business value

Make the best use of your on-hand inventory by substituting components in a bill of materials depending on what's available.

Feature details

Specify substitutes by priority for the main component on a bill of materials that's used when there isn't on-hand inventory of the main component needed in the order.

When running master planning, the system automatically uses the substitute that's available in inventory by following the priorities listed in the plan group in which the component can be substituted.

This feature is available for Planning Optimization.
