Business value
This feature introduces data mesh concepts as an integral part of the data analytics experience, thus enabling organizations to implement a data mesh architecture.
Feature details
This data mesh architecture enables organizations to structure their data according to business departments or categories. With data mesh, organizations can optimize data boundaries and consumption to their line-of-business needs, and efficiently and flexibly govern their data per domain.
In this upcoming release, we plan to allow the following capabilities (among others):
- Defining domains that reflect organizational business units.
- Associating workspaces to domains by workspace name/owner/security group.
- Federated governance by allowing enforcement of granular settings per domain.
- Optimized consumption in per-domain experiences (e.g. filtering to best suit domain data).
