Microsoft Project Web App enables you to easily track the time you spend on a project's tasks, and the progress of those tasks toward completion. In the version of Project Web App that is included with Microsoft Project Server 2010, you can enter time and task progress by using the same view, or by using separate views. You can also assign someone else to enter and submit your time and task progress information on your behalf. This person is called a "delegate."
The following videos illustrate the workflow for entering, submitting, and approving time and task progress by using a single view (single entry mode), separate views, through a delegate, after a time reporting period has closed, or after a task has been locked from updating.
Click a link to open a .wmv file in the default video viewer for full-resolution viewing. For an optimal viewing experience, you can download a video. To download a video, right-click the link, and then click Save Target As.
If you find these videos helpful, you may also find the Time and task progress workflow diagrams (Project Server 2010) useful. These diagrams are available as .vsd, .pdf, and .xps files, and they illustrate the workflows that are discussed in the videos.
