How to: Delete Applications from Application Diagrams
In Application Designer, you can delete application definitions from the application diagram. Deleting an unimplemented application from the diagram deletes it completely from the solution, while deleting an implemented application removes the associated project from the solution without deleting it.
Deleting an application definition can also affect other distributed system diagrams that reference that application as well as the application diagram. For more information, see Considerations for Deleting Applications from Application Diagrams.
Tip
To delete endpoints from applications or to delete connections between applications, see How to: Delete Endpoints from Applications and How to: Delete Connections from Application Diagrams.
To delete an application definition from the application diagram
Select one or more application definitions that you want to delete.
Press the DELETE key or choose Delete from the Edit menu.
Application Designer deletes the application definition from the diagram.
Tip
You cannot use the Undo command after deleting implemented application definitions. However, you can restore the associated projects for implemented applications by adding them back to the solution. For more information, see How to: Reverse-Engineer Projects in Existing Solutions.
