How to: Assign Project Roles in Deployment Reports

In Deployment Designer, you can assign members of your team to specific roles in the deployment report. You can assign the following roles:

  • Business Lead

  • Software Architect

  • Operations Manager

  • Dev Lead

  • Test Lead

The list of roles and role assignments appears in the HTML version of the deployment report. For more information, see Overview of Deployment Reports.

Note

All these roles are optional and are not required when creating a deployment report. They are for documentation purposes only.

To assign project roles in a deployment report

  1. Click the deployment diagram surface to select it.

  2. In the Properties window, edit the roles under the Owners section.

    Tip

    If the Properties window is not open, press F4 or choose Properties Window from the View menu.

  3. To display the roles in the HTML version of the deployment report, set the Include Owners property to True.
