How to: Add Users to a Server-Level Group
You can add users to existing team project groups or server-level groups. You must also add members to groups that you create. To add users to groups, you must have read/write permission to the groups you are changing.
Required Permissions
To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Team Foundation Administrators group. For more information about permissions, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
To add users to a group
In Team Explorer, select the team project or Team Foundation Server that the group is in to which you want to add users.
On the Team menu, point to Team Project Settings, and then click Group Membership, or, to add users to a server-level group, point to Team Foundation Server Settings, and then click Group Membership.
In the Project Groups dialog box, select the group to which you want to add users, and then click Properties.
In the Team Foundation Server Group Properties dialog box, on the Members tab, under Add Member, select Windows User or Group.
Click Add.
In the Select Users or Groups dialog box, under Enter the object names to select, enter the domain name and alias of the users you want to add in the following format:
domain\username
To add more than one user at a time, separate the entries with a semicolon (;).
Click OK.
To add a Team Foundation Server group to a group
In Team Explorer, select the team project that the group is in, or to add to a server-level group, select the Team Foundation Server that the group is in.
On the Team menu, point to Team Project Settings, and then click Group Membership, or to add users to a server-level group, point to Team Foundation Server Settings, and then click Group Membership.
In the Project Groups dialog box, select the group to which you want to add a Team Foundation Server group, and then click Properties.
In the Team Foundation Server Group Properties dialog box, on the Members tab, under Add Member, select Team Foundation Server Group.
Click Add.
In the Add Group dialog box, under Groups available, select the group that you want to add, and then click Close.
